Re-Engage (previously Contact the Elderly)

Today we joined up with Contact the Elderly Basildon who contacted us earlier this year asking for a donation towards a day out at the seaside. It was our absolute pleasure to pay for their trip which started with Fish and Chips in Leigh and ended up at Southend having ice creams by the sea. The weather could have been a bit sunnier but a lovely time was had by all. It was great to see the great work that the volunteers do, making sure the older generation get together once a month for tea and a chat. They’d love to expand their group but can only do this with more volunteer helpers. Please contact them if you think that could be you.
